Зачем нужны индексы?
Представьте книгу на 1000 страниц. Если нужно найти главу «Транзакции», вы не листаете всё подряд (это Full Table Scan). Вы открываете оглавление, находите страницу и сразу переходите к нужному месту. Индекс в БД — это такое же «оглавление» для данных.
