Optional<T> — контейнер, который либо содержит значение, либо пуст. Он делает возможность отсутствия значения явной в системе типов, устраняя NullPointerException из-за забытых проверок на null. Терминальные операции Stream, такие как findFirst, min, max, возвращают Optional.
