Java имеет встроенную поддержку ZIP через пакет java.util.zip. ZipOutputStream создаёт архивы, ZipInputStream читает их, ZipFile обеспечивает произвольный доступ к записям. GZIPOutputStream/GZIPInputStream сжимают/распаковывают одиночные файлы.
