SVM: не просто граница — максимальный зазор
Логистическая регрессия находит любую разделяющую гиперплоскость. SVM находит лучшую — ту, которая максимально далека от обоих классов. Этот «зазор» (margin) делает модель устойчивой: новые точки должны оказаться очень далеко от обучающих чтобы попасть не в тот класс. Чем шире margin, тем лучше обобщение.
